#1.  Innocent Bystander, Pinot Gris – Victoria, Australia                   $25.99

The grapes for this wine are hand picked and whole bunch pressed prior to a long cool ferment with a tad of French oak. This pinot gris has distinct pear varietal character. The palate is satisfyingly creamy and has an excellent acid balance. 

5 Spoke Tumbleweed – New York                                               $27/lb

A cross between Cantal and fermier and aged cheddar, this semi-hard cheese shows its true form after 8-9 months in the cave.  Its delicately fruity, with a unique curdy texture.  The finish pulls in cheddar-like creaminess and brothy, brown butter aromas.

 

#2.  Climbing, Chardonnay– Orange, Australia                                                      $18.99

From a climb that begins at 600 meters and ends short of 1100, this high altitude cool climate vineyard delivers wine with rich fruit and elegance.  The Orange region lies on the slopes of Mt. Canobolas and is Australia’s highest wine region, producing definitive elegant Chardonnay.

St. Andre, cow – France                                                            $25/lb

Soft ripened cow’s milk cheese made in the Middle Pyrenees region of France.  Enriched with pure cream, this triple crème is like butter! Accompanied with roasted eggplant and red peppers from Italy.

 

#3.  D’Arenberg The Hermit Crab, Viognier Marsanne – McLaren Vale , Australia                                                                                                                                                          $20.99

The Hermit Crab McLaren Vale Viognier (66%) Marsanne (34%) has a green, brilliant mid-straw color and exhibits fresh and tropical fruit with a strong emphasis on stone fruits, pineapple, mango and honeysuckle. The youthful palate is immediately luscious with those tropical fruit, honeysuckle and stone fruit flavours balanced by fresh grapefruit and light butter tastes, before a long persistent fruit finish.

Tumalo Classico, goat – Central Oregon                                      $37/lb

This farmstead unpasteurized goat cheese has a tangy, sharp and creamy flavor. The cheesemaker strives to make the cheese in the style of a classic Dutch gouda with a touch of Oregon flavor. Enhanced with Bella Cucina’s Artichoke and roasted garlic spread.

 

#4.  D’Arenberg The Love Grass, Shiraz – McLaren Vale , Australia     $23.99

As the wine opens up it reveals plum and cherry juice with lifted violets, cloves and summer flowers. It also offers bright red to black fruit characters due to the array of other varieties coming into play. The palate is juicy with weighty, red-fruited Shiraz dominated by plums, rhubarb, cherries, strawberries, mulberry, smoked bacon, white pepper and flower characters then a level of black currants and fragrant spice from the Cabernet and Petit Verdot appear.

          Stokes Smoked Cheddar – Australia                                                     $19/lb

        This King Island Dairy Stokes Point Smoked Cheddar is naturally smoked with Tasmanian hardwood.  Matured for nine months, the golden rind created during smoking, acts as a natural preservative.  Stokes point is the most southern tip of the island and the closest point to north western Tasmania. Rolled up in Cotto Ham from Parma, Iraly.

 

#5.  Innocent Bystander, Moscato – Victoria, Australia

 This fun little sipper eludes to the aromas of watermelon, red apples and soft rose petals. This wine will definitely keep you cool this summer!                                                    $12.99/375 ml

Roaring 40’s Blue, cow – Australia                                                     $24/lb

                This is a full flavored blue with a sweet, and slightly nutty character, a rich mouth feel and a great aftertaste.
