Perk up those Dog Days of Summer!

Who Cut the Cheese has some great ideas for brightening up any dog day!

Summer is a great time to offer cheese as an appetizer when it's so warm, it takes little effort, and people are more in the snacking and sipping mood! A little rosé, a little fresh chevre, olives from Provence and a little charcuterie, and heck, that's what we call dinner! Don't forget that Who Cut the Cheese has an express chiller, with the babbling brook, in five minutes you're chilled out and ready to sip!

Speaking of Rosés! Don't forget the Rocking Rosés at the end of August, this is one the Big Cheese's favorite tastings to offer because there is such a growing interest in this category of wine, and yet is still so misunderstood. And rosés love cheese!

Ask for cheese as a first course at your favorite restaurants!

Who Cut The Cheese is now offering cheese plates at Stella Blues. Two plates will be offered: Beer Drinkers Delight & Nibbles for the Wine Sippers. Each plate will have 3 cheeses with different accoutrements to set the tone for each type of plate. A steal of a deal for $12 which is a great snack for two!

Cuatro was offering dessert cheese plates last month, we'll see what the Big Cheese will be cutting for them this month! Come in and see!

Mahalo to Dale Boyd (pictured above with the "Big Cheese" Ann Tuomela) for sharing this recipe from Martha Stewart's Living magazine. St. Germaine is still on the huge rise, and it's great to see what cocktails people are concocting with it. This recipe is called The Gemini.

3 oz. St-Germain Liquer
2 oz. Pau vodka
Ice cubes
Prosecco
2 grapfruit-rind twists

MIX grapefruit juice, St-Germain, Pau vodka, and ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake and strain into 2 chilled glasses. Top each with Prosecco. SERVE each with a grapfruit twist. Makes 2 cocktails

A Cheese Lover's Quote

"A cheese may disappoint. It may be dull, it may be naive. It may be over sophisticated. Yet it remains cheese, milk's leap toward immortality."
