WE HOPE IT IS A GREAT NEW YEAR FOR ALL OF YOU...!

We are hoping and trusting that your year is off to a wonderful and prosperous start thus far. That is our sincerest hope because you have made our first half year of existence such a wonderful and rewarding experience.  Many mahalos! You are as committed as we are to making this YOUR community cheese shop.

Up and Coming excitement:

Get a jump start on Valentine's Day! Join us at the Waterfront Restaurant in Maalaea on Saturday February 7th from 1 PM – 3 PM. We'll be featuring 5 Champagnes and Sparklers delectably paired with goat cheeses from around the world. As always, due to availability of some of these fun gems we will let you know later exactly what we’ll be serving!

Yes, we have Paninis! "Little Bread" filled with tasty treats from the deli case. Imagine, Busetto dry salami, thinly sliced Maui Onions, and Fontina D' Aosta cheese, grilled to perfection on a baby La Brea baguette! Yumm! Thank you Hank Tuomela for seasoning, testing, and getting us up and running with our new toy.

We are anticipating the arrival of lots of new gourmet food products: wild artichokes and caper flowers from Italy, and how about some new pickled veggies? Can't tell you too much...you must come and see!  You may want to call first because we were still waiting for delivery at writing time

Mahalos:

v      Guest cheese wrapper Wendy Tuomela--the most consistent and tightest wrapper--you wrap girl!

v      Star cheese advisor, Stephie Vineyard, mahalo for your slogans…"just say no to plane food" in promoting our jetsetter specials, and your “3 C's for Valentine's Day.”  You’ll have to come in to find out the identity of the 3 C’s at Who Cut the Cheese. Show up with these treats for your little sweet on Valentine's Day and you will shine as the big cupid!

Romantic cheese and wine pairing for Valentine's Day:

Chevere enrobed with apricot from France, paired with the Errazuriz Late Harvest Sauvingon Blanc from Chile is a match made in Heaven. A total charmer! The cheese is $7.50 per piece (one is perfect for 2) and the wine is $12.50 for a 375ml (also perfect for two).

Cheese tip:

Buy small quantities of cheese to be consumed within a day or two. For optimal freshness, place your packets in a zip lock bag, squeeze out excess air and place in your vegetable crisper. And remember, come visit often!

Keep healthy and happy always!

Loads of Aloha to all and God Bless,

Big Cheese, Stephie, Jenny, Sanni, and Lauren
