HOLIDAY NEWSLETTER

Aloha to all our beloved kasephiles!

This newsletter is all about you! As you know, we are still here because of you and your on-going support. Actually, the inspiration to write about you came after revisiting some excerpts from the Cheese Board Collective Works. It is a book by the owners/employees of the Cheese Board, which is an awesome cheese shop/bakery/pizzeria and coffee shop in Berkeley, CA—a “must do” if you’re ever in that neck of the woods.

It is exciting that they feel the same as we do about our regular customers. To be honest, our regulars have become our friends. At the Cheese Board they have almost as much fun as we do! The commonality—cheese is FUN!

There are Kihei people I have known for several years who have just become first time customers. Hey guys…it’s okay, you made it in! And thank goodness the folks in Kula, Makawao, Haiku, Hana, Wailuku, Kahului, Lahaina, Kaanapali, Napili, etc… discovered us and keep coming back. Millions of mahalos to all for helping us grow our business!

REAL QUICK…WHATSSUP

Friday, November 19th is our debut at the MACC! Get your paninis & Jetsetter Specials while enjoying the tunes at the Willie Nelson concert.

Thursday & Friday November 25th & 26th we will be closed. The Friday after Thanksgiving may be the biggest shopping day of the year, but it just isn’t so for cheese, so we will be taking a small rest…gearing up for the next big holiday! Get your reservations in for your cheese platters for Thanksgiving…order enough to enjoy “leftovers” after that rough day of shopping!

Sunday December 5th, the Saint Nick’s Day tasting is sold out. The next event will be the first week of March—“Romancing the Cheese.” Global Champagnes/Sparkling wines paired with their respective regional cheeses. Location and exact date TBA.

Saturday & Sunday December 25th & 26th we will be closed in order to truly enjoy the “figgy pudding” and other Christmas merriment. Friendly reminder, celebrate Christmas not “Stressmas” and leave the stress to us! PLEASE get your platter and gift basket orders in early so you won’t miss out. We also have gift certificates.

CHEESY TIP:  If you present a big chunk or wedge of cheese, it is most flavorful when planed or sliced thinly with a wire cutter. The air to cheese ratio is higher producing more flavors.

Happy gourmet holidays. We love you and God Bless,

The Big Cheese (Birthday 11/16), Stephie (C.C.O. – Chief Cheese Operator), Sannie, Jessica, Jillyn & Pare
